Virtual Active Learning Academy of North Carolina (VALA NC)

VALA NC is a next-generation K–12 public charter school designed to redefine what virtual education can be. If approved by the North Carolina Charter School Review Board, VALA NC is scheduled to open in Fall 2028, offering high-quality online education to students across the entire state of North Carolina.

Grounded in the VALA 5A Learning Framework (Active Learning, Adaptive Instruction, Accountable Systems, Authentic Experiences, and Accessible Education), VALA NC integrates the latest research in learning science with innovative digital tools to create a highly engaging, rigorous, and inclusive online learning environment..
